Tigerton (5740)6/9 to 8/748157510,330116We offered busing to all district students. Additionally, we were able to participate in a breakfast and lunch program where all children were able to eat for free. Additionally, we offered an intensive remedial middle school course which had high attendance. The district also (unfortunately) had double the number of students particpating in the summer ERVING remedial English and Social Studies courses to make up credits. The food program was the most significant impetus behind the tremendous enrollment. It really impacted our numbers!
Tomah Area (5747)6/7 to 8/285713364,425,5409154There was a significant increase in our summer school participation due to an increase (nearly double) in the number of classes and sessions offered this summer. We also coordinated with the City of Tomah for swimming lessons this summer. In addition, letters were sent to all elementary and middle school parents whose children did not score proficient or advanced on the WKCE in reading and math. We continued to provide transportation for specific times and locations, and free breakfast and lunch were available at Tomah Middle School, where a majority of our summer school classes were held.
